Summary: This paper discusses the use of surface-coating to improve the electrochemical properties of traditional materials, specifically focusing on MgCo2O4 nanorods modified with TiO2. The MgCo2O4@TiO2 composites show remarkable electrochemical properties when used as anodes in lithium-ion batteries, possibly due to the formation of a stable SEI layer by the TiO2 coating.
