Flavors Enhance Nicotine Vapor Self-administration in Male Mice

Skylar Y. Cooper et al.

Summary: The study shows that menthol and green apple flavors in e-liquids enhance self-administration behaviors in male mice, with increased rates of escalation on a fixed-ratio 1 schedule and enhanced levels of reinforcement on a fixed-ratio 3 schedule. Additionally, mice self-administered zero-nicotine green apple flavored e-liquids. These findings highlight the role of ENDS flavors in influencing vaping-related behaviors and the need for further investigation.
