A New Explicit Algebraic Wall Model for LES of Turbulent Flows Under Adverse Pressure Gradient

Sylvia Wilhelm et al.

Summary: A new explicit algebraic wall law, APGPL, is proposed for flows with adverse pressure gradient based on non-equilibrium log-law. This model does not require iterative methods and provides good agreement with experimental and numerical data, showing effectiveness in assessing wall shear stress in different flow regions.

Coupling of turbulence wall models and immersed boundaries on Cartesian grids

Shang-Gui Cai et al.

Summary: An improved coupling method of immersed boundary method and turbulence wall models on Cartesian grids is proposed to generate smooth wall surface pressure and skin friction at high Reynolds numbers. Various modifications are presented to enhance the near wall solution, and the validity of the method is demonstrated through numerical benchmark tests.
