In this study, a watt-level Tm:YAP pulsed laser at 1936.6 nm was achieved using graphdiyne (GDY) as a passive modulator. Efficient diode pumping led to a pulsed laser output of 1.37 W with a absorbed pump power of 4.44 W, demonstrating the potential of GDY as a modulator for generating pulsed lasers in the 2 μm band range.
A watt-level Tm:YAP pulsed laser at 1936.6 nm was realized with graphdiyne (GDY) acted as a passive modulator. Through efficient diode pumping, 1.37 W pulsed laser output was obtained when the absorbed pump power was 4.44 W, corresponding highest repetition rate, largest single pulse energy and maximum peak power of 98.59 kHz, 13.85 mu J and 6.40 W, respectively. These results illustrate the potentiality of GDY as a modulator to generate pulsed laser in 2 mu m band range.
