Designing tunable narrowband parametric source in Chalcogenide-based dynamic fiber geometry

Sudip K. Chatterjee et al.

Summary: Parametric sources can be generated by continuously pumping a specially designed gelatin-coated chalcogenide-silica dynamic fiber, producing spectrally isolated narrowband tunable sources at far-detuned wavelengths. These sources have potential applications in short-wave infrared spectroscopy and biomedical fields.

Graded Index Chalcogenide Fibers with Nanostructured Core

Marcello Meneghetti et al.

Summary: The utilization of nanostructured all-solid core in fibers has been proven to be a versatile and low-cost alternative for the production of graded index optical fibers. High purity chalcogenide glasses synthesized in the Ge-As-Se glass system were successfully used for stacking and drawing chalcogenide nanostructured GRIN fibers.
