Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) Carried by Asymmetric Vortex Beams for Wireless Communications: Theory, Experiment and Current Challenges

Higher detection probabilities of high-order modes are observed, and an efficient scheme for generating multicasting and multiplexing OAM modes is proposed. Further investigations are needed for critical issues like mode mismatching, and exploring more spatial multiplexing approaches may lead to new prospects for future communications systems.
