Characterization and application of rhamnolipid from Pseudomonas plecoglossicida BP03

D. Sabarinathan et al.

Summary: The optimized production of rhamnolipid biosurfactant from newly isolated bacteria showed excellent larvicidal and pupicidal activity against malarial vectors, antimicrobial activity against human pathogens, and potent anti-biofilm activity. The biosurfactant also exhibited cytotoxicity against human fibroblastic sarcoma cells and interactive docking with surface proteins of Staphylococcus aureus. Overall, the synthesized biosurfactant holds promising applications in various fields.
