Summary: The hydroethanolic extract of Withania frutescens demonstrated inhibitory effects on the activities of alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, contributing to its potential in controlling and preventing postprandial hyperglycemia. Chemical Composition and Physicochemical Analysis of Opuntia dillenii Extracts Grown in Morocco

Summary: The study examined the chemical composition and physicochemical properties of hexane and ethyl acetate extracts of Opuntia dillenii fruit from three Moroccan regions. It found that the seed oil extracts had the highest yield, with linoleic acid as the dominant unsaturated fatty acid. The physicochemical properties of the seed oils met the quality criteria for pure and fresh oils, and there were variations in fatty acid compositions among different extracts.
