Results showed that the herbicide mixture exhibited more genotoxic effect.

Electrochemical detection of fenitrothion usingnanosilver/dodecane modified glassy carbon electrode

Summary: A novel nanosilver/dodecane modified electrode was developed for the electrochemical sensing of fenitrothion in environmental samples such as potatoes and paddy, showing lower reduction potential and higher sensing current. The electrode demonstrated excellent stability and constant sensitivity over multiple cycles of analysis, with a lower limit of detection compared to other electrodes. The results obtained using the electrochemical approach were in good agreement with those from the HPLC technique. The modified electrode presents a cost-effective alternative for detecting fenitrothion pesticides.
