Autonomous in situ calibration of ion-sensitive field effect transistor pH sensors

Philip J. Bresnahan et al.

Summary: Ion-sensitive field effect transistor-based pH sensors, such as the Honeywell Durafet, are effective in high frequency and long-term ocean sampling. A self-calibration apparatus, integrated into a SeapHOx sensor package, demonstrated superior reproducibility in pH calibration compared to standard methods. The Self-Calibrating SeapHOx has the potential to autonomously provide high-quality climate data with improvements over traditional calibration techniques.
