Significance of nonlinear thermal radiation in 3D Eyring-Powell nanofluid flow with Arrhenius activation energy

Taseer Muhammad et al.

Summary: This paper investigates a mathematical analysis of three-dimensional Eyring-Powell nanofluid nonlinear thermal radiation with modified heat plus mass fluxes. The slip condition is introduced to enhance the dynamical and physical study of structure, and a Riga plate is employed to diminish the friction and pressure drag of submarines. The Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model is used to evaluate heat transfer, and comparisons between bvp4c results and shooting technique are made with graphical and numerical illustrations for prominent parameters.

On bio-convection thermal radiation in Darcy - Forchheimer flow of nanofluid with gyrotactic motile microorganism under Wu's slip over stretching cylinder/plate

H. Waqas et al.

Summary: This study discusses the Darcy-Forchheimer nanoliquid bio-convection flow on stretching cylinder/plate, considering modified heat and mass fluxes, activation energy, and gyrotactic motile microorganism features. Numerical results illustrate the influence of key elements on the flow, showing velocity decreases with higher magnitude of first- and second-order velocity slips and bioconvection Rayleigh number, and an inverse relation with mixed convection parameter and local inertia coefficient. The study also highlights the novel characteristics of thermophoresis diffusion and Brownian movement in nanoliquid, providing valuable insights for future research in this area.

Numerical simulation of magnetohydrodynamics nanofluid flow in a semi-porous channel with a new approach in the least square method

Uddhaba Biswal et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow of a fluid with added nanoparticles in a semi-permeable channel under a transverse magnetic effect, utilizing Maxwell-Garnett and Brinkman models. An efficient weighted residual method is proposed for solving coupled differential equations, and residual errors are analyzed for efficiency evaluation. It is found that residual error is almost zero in 6th term approximation under specific parameter values, and validation with previous works confirms the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Selecting the best nanofluid type for A photovoltaic thermal (PV/T) system based on reliability, efficiency, energy, economic, and environmental criteria

Ali Sohani et al.

Summary: Using the AHP decision-making method, the best alternative for a PV unit was chosen, with the ZnO nanofluid-based PV/T system identified as the most optimal option. This system demonstrated high energy production and efficiencies, along with low CO2 emissions and a short payback period.

Thermal transport of radiative Williamson fluid over stretchable curved surface

Rabeeah Raza et al.

Summary: The study investigates incompressible steady Williamson fluid flow in a curvilinear coordinate system. Linear thermal radiation effects are considered and the model is applied to solar energy in thermal engineering processes. The results of the study show the impact of parameters on velocity, temperature, and Nusselt number in the fluid flow system.
