Review-Recent Advances in Tin Oxide Nanomaterials as Electrochemical/Chemiresistive Sensors

Summary: Tin oxide (SnO2) based sensors have been investigated for chemical sensing applications due to their excellent thermal stability, biocompatibility, bandgap, cost effectiveness and abundant availability. These sensors are modified with SnO2 nanomaterials in combination with various metals, semiconductors and carbon derivatives to improve sensing performance. Various voltammetric and amperometric techniques are used to study the electrochemical properties and behavior of analytes on the surface of modified electrodes.
