Cardiac ryanodine receptor calcium release deficiency syndrome

Bo Sun et al.

Summary: A new disease entity termed RyR2 Ca2+ release deficiency syndrome (CRDS) caused by RyR2 LOF mutations was identified, characterized by SCD with normal EST. The study provided insights into the pathogenic mechanism of CRDS through linkage analysis and animal model research, and identified potentially effective treatments such as quinidine and flecainide for the disease.
