Dual effects of a diamide derivative as nucleator on crystallization kinetics and aggregated structure of biodegradable Poly(ethylene succinate)

Ziyu Wei et al.

Summary: Incorporating TMC306 as a nucleator into PES enhances the crystallization behavior of PES at lower weight fractions, but leads to a decline in crystallization at higher weight fractions. Interaction between TMC306 and PES through hydrogen bonding is indicated by IR results.

Thermal and rheological properties of fully biodegradable Poly(ethylene succinate)/Cellulose nanocrystals composites

Jingnan Li et al.

Summary: The addition of low contents of cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) in poly (ethylene succinate) (PES) fully biodegradable composites was found to slightly improve thermal stability and significantly enhance rheological properties. The dispersion state of CNC in PES matrix affects nucleation of PES crystals, with fine dispersion at low CNC contents and aggregation at higher contents. Melt crystallization of PES is evidently influenced by the content and dispersion of CNC in the composites.

Biocompatible linear diamides derivative-nucleated biodegradable poly(ethylene succinate): Tailored crystallization kinetics, aggregated structure and thermal degradation

Summary: The addition of EBH significantly enhances the crystallization rate and thermal stability of PES, with EBH showing good nucleating effects in PES. The hydrogen bond interaction between EBH and PES promotes rearrangement of carbonyl groups during crystallization process.
