KLF7 is associated with poor prognosis and regulates migration and adhesion in tongue cancer

Jiong Lyu et al.

Summary: The study found that KLF7 is overexpressed in TSCC and is significantly associated with T and N stages. Patients with high KLF7 expression have poorer overall survival. RNA sequencing and KEGG pathway analysis revealed that altered genes were enriched in extracellular matrix-receptor interactions and focal adhesions in both cell lines. KLF7 overexpression in TSCC cell lines enhanced migration capacity and cell adhesion, while knockdown of KLF7 expression reduced TSCC migration and adhesion abilities.
