Cleaning products and respiratory health outcomes in occupational cleaners: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: Occupational cleaners have an increased risk of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, but evidence for associations with other respiratory health effects is weaker. Studies lack quantitative exposure assessment to cleaning products, and exposure control and respiratory surveillance among cleaners is recommended to prevent respiratory health burden.
