Summary: The study demonstrates that alpha-tocopherol and gamma-tocopherol-rich tocopherols can alleviate symptoms of colitis induced by DSS, protect intestinal barrier function, and have a positive impact on gut microbiota. Gamma-tocopherol-rich tocopherols show significant effects in repairing barrier function and promoting the health of gut microbiota.
