Dielectric studies and Cole-Cole plot analysis of Na2O - (1-x)ZnO -xCoO -P2O5 glasses

This study presents a detailed characterization of the dielectric properties of a new zinc sodium phosphate glass doped with different mole ratios of cobalt. The electrical characterizations were performed at different frequencies and temperatures using alternating current impedance spectroscopy, with the data analyzed according to the Cole Cole model equation.
This paper presents a detailed characterization of the dielectric properties of the new zinc sodium phosphate glass, changed when it?s doped with different mole ratios of cobalt (x = 0, 1, 2 and 5 mol %) one of a transition metal ions, to obtain the final glass Na2Zn1-xCoxP2O7, has been prepared and used. The electrical characteriza-tions of the bulk glasses were performed in different frequency and temperature range by using alternating current impedance spectroscopy. The dielectric constant epsilon' (omega) and loss epsilon ''(omega) are studied as a function of the temperature and frequency. Furthermore the dielectric data are fitted and analyzed according to the Cole Cole model equation, and from this model the dispersion parameters as the exponent alpha, the dielectric relaxation times tau(j), the activation energy E-t and an equivalent electrical circuit of the sample are evaluated.
