Selective recovery of vanadium pentoxide from spent catalysts of sulfuric acid production: Sustainable approach

Elena Romanovskaia et al.

Summary: The study focused on extracting vanadium from spent vanadium catalysts of sulfuric acid production through a two-step leaching process, resulting in a V2O5 product with a purity of 85-87 wt%. The highest vanadium extraction yield achieved was 98 wt% through oxidizing of leaching solutions by 30 wt% (NH4)2S2O8.
