Digital Twin-Driven Controller Tuning Method for Dynamics

Bin He et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a digital twin-driven PID controller tuning method to address the issue of mechanical system dynamics characteristics being affected by controller performance degradation. By utilizing virtual real mapping, data fusion, and online identification, real-time feedback and closed-loop self-tuning of PID controller are achieved, with integration of intelligent optimization algorithm to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Modeling of the digital twin model is discussed in terms of physical prototyping, twin service system, and virtual prototyping, with controller tuning for gear transmission stability as an example to validate the method's practicality.
