Experimental study for thermal conductivity of water-based zirconium oxide nanofluid: Developing optimal artificial neural network and proposing new correlation

Andac Batur Colak

Summary: In this study, five different water-based ZrO(2)nanofluids were prepared at different concentrations, and their thermal conductivity was experimentally measured. Using the data obtained, an artificial neural network and a new correlation were developed to predict the thermal conductivity values, showing perfect agreement with the experimental data.

Photothermal properties and photothermal conversion performance of nano-enhanced paraffin as a phase change thermal energy storage material

Ruitong Yang et al.

Summary: The addition of nanoparticles decreases the transmittance of nano-enhanced paraffin while a small rise in transmittance occurs with temperature increment. ZnO and CuO nanoparticles can improve the thermal conductivity of nano-enhanced paraffin. CuO/paraffin can absorb more solar energy, and the optimal photothermal performance can be achieved by adjusting the nanoparticle volume fraction.

Modeling the thermal conductivity ratio of an antifreeze-based hybrid nanofluid containing graphene oxide and copper oxide for using in thermal systems

Sara Rostami et al.

Summary: The study utilized mathematical methods to model the thermal conductivity ratio of a hybrid nanofluid containing graphene oxide and Copper oxide. Two approaches were used: one based on an artificial neural network structure, and the other based on curve-fitting method. Both methods showed high accuracy in predicting the thermal conductivity ratio of the nanofluid.

Employing response surface methodology and neural network to accurately model thermal conductivity of TiO2-water nanofluid using experimental data

Mohammad Hemmat Esfe et al.

Summary: In this study, the thermal conductivity of H2O-titania nanofluid was modeled against particle concentration and temperature using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The results indicate that temperature has a more significant impact on thermal conductivity than particle concentration, and that thermal conductivity shows a non-linear trend with nanoparticle volume fraction compared to temperature.
