Cu-Al2O3-H2O hybrid nanofluid flow with melting heat transfer, irreversibility analysis and nonlinear thermal radiation

F. Mahood et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of hybrid nanoparticles on various physical quantities in water-based hybrid nanofluids, particularly focusing on the thermal boundary layer thickness and the effects of flow regime on governing parameters. The results showed that increasing magnetic strength and nanoparticle volume fraction lead to a thicker thermal boundary layer, while nonlinear thermal radiation has the opposite effect.

Radiation and Partial Slip Effects on Magnetohydrodynamic Jeffrey Nanofluid Containing Gyrotactic Microorganisms Over a Stretching Surface

K. Kumaraswamy Naidu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of thermal radiation and partial slip on magnetohydrodynamic flow of the Jeffrey nanofluid comprising motile gyrotactic microorganisms. The results show that Nusselt number increases with thermal radiation parameter, while decreases with Richardson number, and microorganism density is higher in viscous nanofluid compared to the Jeffrey nanofluid.

Numerical simulation for the steady nanofluid boundary layer flow over a moving plate with suction and heat generation

M. Ferdows et al.

Summary: This study theoretically investigates the convective flow of a viscous fluid over a moving plate by adopting different types of nanoparticles, considering radiation, internal heat generation, and viscous dissipation effects. The results show that temperature is consistently increased with a rising Eckert number of nanofluids, but strongly reduced with rising values of radiation term. Heat transfer coefficient is consistently increased with a high convective heat nanoparticle volume fraction in the medium. Extensive visualization and numerical simulations are done to analyze the effects of various emerging parameters on flow rate and heat distributions.
