Fatty acid desaturase-2 (ahFAD2) mutant alleles in peanut (Arachis hypogaeaL.) pre-breeding lines: an insight into the source, features, discourse, and selection of novel pre-breeding lines

J. H. Kamdar et al.

Summary: The study found that high oleic peanuts offer multiple health benefits and longer shelf life benefits to the food processing industry. Through research on 563 peanut pre-breeding lines, it was discovered that the ahFAD2A mutant allele was present in 82 lines, while the ahFAD2B mutant allele was not as prevalent.
