An experimental and modeling study on sooting characteristics of laminar counter flow diffusion flames with partial premixing

Summary: Experimental and numerical results showed that partial premixing significantly increased soot formation in ethylene flames, while slightly decreasing it in propane flames. Partial premixing played different chemical roles in the soot formation process of ethylene and propane flames.
