The Enhancement Effect of Calcium Ions on Ectomycorrhizal Fungi-Mediated Drought Resistance inPinus sylvestrisvar.mongolica

Summary: The study evaluated the combined influence of exogenous Ca(2+) supplementation and ectomycorrhizal fungi (ECMF) on the growth and physiological traits of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica seedlings under water stress. The results showed that Ca(2+) and ECMF together can enhance antioxidant enzyme activity and reduce the accumulation of reactive oxygen species in the seedlings. However, the relationship between free proline content and ECMF/Ca(2+) inoculation requires further study.
