The photocatalysts showed stability and reusability, making them promising for sustainable and low-cost treatment of pharmaceutical-contaminated wastewaters.

Tin dioxide decorated on Ni-encapsulated nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes for anodic electrolysis and persulfate activation to degrade cephalexin: Mineralization and degradation pathway

Summary: In this study, bamboo-shaped carbon nanotubes with high nitrogen content and Ni encapsulation were successfully synthesized through a simple pyrolysis method. The electrochemical degradation of CPX using SnO2-decorated Ni@NCNT showed higher efficiency in CPX removal compared to other methods, indicating its potential in pollutant removal. The electropersulfate oxidation process demonstrated a synergistic enhancement effect in CPX mineralization, suggesting a promising approach for pollution control using novel electrode materials and electrochemical facilities.
