Confidence Estimation of the Cross-Product Ratio of Binomial Proportions under Different Sampling Schemes

Summary: The general problem of interval estimation for a cross-product ratio is studied based on data from two independent samples, using direct or inverse Binomial sampling schemes. Asymptotic confidence intervals are constructed with exponentially decreasing bias in parameter estimators, aiming to investigate the reliability of normal approximations for the construction of confidence intervals. The Monte-Carlo method is utilized to explore the key probability characteristics of intervals corresponding to all possible combinations of sampling schemes, with the evaluation criterion of the closeness of confidence coefficient to the nominal confidence level.
