Synthesis of core-shell α-AlH3@Al(OH)3 nanocomposite with improved low-temperature dehydriding properties by mechanochemical mixing and ionic liquid treatment

Congwen Duan et al.

Summary: A novel core-shell alpha-AlH3@Al(OH)3 nanocomposite with a 1.2 nm thick shell was synthesized using an environmentally friendly method. The presence of the Al(OH)3 shell significantly improved the dehydriding kinetics of alpha-AlH3 and stabilized it under ambient conditions. This new strategy shows great promise in enhancing both stability and hydrogen storage kinetics.

Synthesis and visible-light photocatalytic properties of BiOBr/CdS nanomaterials

Junhua You et al.

Summary: The synthesis of BiOBr/CdS composite materials with different mass ratios can enhance the photocatalytic activity. Experimental results show that the composite photocatalyst containing 60% BiOBr exhibits the highest photocatalytic activity. Free radical capture experiments further confirm that holes are the main active species in the photocatalytic process of composite samples.

Fabrication of direct Z-scheme FeIn2S4/Bi2WO6 hierarchical heterostructures with enhanced photocatalytic activity for tetracycline hydrochloride photodagradation

Xiao-Ya Shangguan et al.

Summary: A series of direct Z-scheme FeIn2S4/Bi2WO6 hierarchical heterostructures were synthesized and showed enhanced photocatalytic activity for TCH degradation. The optimal component ratio of FeIn2S4 to Bi2WO6 was determined to be 10 wt% for the highest degradation activity. Efficient separation of photogenerated holes and electrons based on the construction of direct Z-scheme system contributed to the enhanced photocatalytic activity.
