Experimental Observation of Temporal Pumping in Electromechanical Waveguides

Summary: The experimental demonstration shows temporal pumping of elastic waves in an electromechanical waveguide, enabling the generation and control of edge states through temporal modulation of stiffness. Summary: Theoretical predictions of Quantum Hall physics have been made in four dimensions and higher, with the concept of phason engineering in metamaterials used to access and apply it. By creating a reconfigurable two-dimensional aperiodic acoustic crystal, access to four-dimensional Quantum Hall physics was achieved, along with demonstrating topological wave steering enabled by the Weyl physics of the three-dimensional boundaries.
