Summary: The commercialization of lithium-oxygen batteries, especially in aeronautics, faces challenges such as electrolyte decomposition, short cycle life, low energy and power density, and high cell mass. Experimental and simulation-based studies are conducted to optimize cell designs for high specific-power, with the reduction of cell mass identified as the most straightforward way to improve specific-power.
