A heuristic method for choosing 'virtual best' DMUs to enhance the discrimination power of the augmented DEA model

M. Sadat Rezaei et al.

Summary: This paper presents a heuristic method to address the issues of unrealistic efficiency scores and large discrepancies between the efficiency scores of augmented DEA model and those obtained by the basic model. By using hierarchical clustering algorithm to select the best virtual DMUs, the possibility of inappropriate efficiency scores can be reduced.

A mindful path to the COVID-19 pandemic: an approach to promote physical distancing behavior

Sachin Kumar et al.

Summary: This study explores the relationship between individual mindfulness and physical distancing behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic, with empathy playing a mediating role. Findings showed that mindfulness positively influences physical distancing behavior, with empathy acting as a mediating factor. This study contributes to the understanding of the impact of psychological factors on behavior in the context of a pandemic.
