Social Exclusion and Subjective Well-being Among Older Adults in Europe: Findings From the European Social Survey

Summary: The study found significant regional differences in social exclusion and subjective well-being among older adults in Europe. Older adults in Nordic nations tend to have higher levels of subjective well-being and lower social exclusion, while those in Central and Eastern European nations report lower levels of subjective well-being and higher social exclusion. Material resources and basic services were identified as the most important factors influencing life satisfaction, happiness, and general health.
