Preparation and Performance Assessment of Low-Pressure Affinity Membranes Based on Functionalized, Electrospun Polyacrylates for Gold Nanoparticle Filtration

Summary: Electrospun nanofibrous membranes have advantages in water purification systems due to their high porosity, interconnected pores, and high surface to volume ratio. They offer promising affinity separation applications, such as nanoparticle adsorption, with specific adsorption mechanisms. Studies in this paper focused on important filtration parameters and the effects of different copolymers with hydrophilic functional groups on pressure drop and filtration efficiency. The use of UV-light induced cross-linking for improved mechanical stability and reduced fiber swelling. Successful gold nanoparticle filtration demonstrated the exceptional properties and selectivity of the membranes.

Novel oxygen permeable hollow fiber perovskite membrane with surface wrinkles

Summary: This study investigated the synthesis and properties of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-delta (LSCF) hollow fiber perovskite membranes with wrinkled surface, demonstrating their applicability for oxygen separation. The results showed that the wrinkled membranes had higher oxygen permeation flux after Ag deposition as the catalyst.
