The Economic and Psychosocial Comorbidity Burden Among Adults with Moderate-to-Severe Atopic Dermatitis in Europe: Analysis of a Cross-Sectional Survey

Giampiero Girolomoni et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the economic burden of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in the European Union-5 countries, finding high direct and indirect costs for patients and a high prevalence of psychosocial comorbidities such as sleep difficulties, anxiety, and depression. These comorbidities were significantly associated with decreased health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and work-related impairment in AD patients.
