Three new sesquiterpenoids with cytotoxic activity from Artemisia argyi

Summary: A new eudesmane sesquiterpenoid, artemisargin A (1), and two new guaianolide sesquiterpenoids, artemisargins B (2) and C (3), along with three known sesquiterpenoids (4-6), were isolated from Artemisia argyi leaves. Compound 1 showed inhibitory effects on cancer cell growth, especially in BGC-823 cells with an IC50 value of 49.87 mu M.
