Integrated metabolo-transcriptomics and functional characterization reveals that the wheat auxin receptor TIR1 negatively regulates defense againstFusarium graminearum

Peisen Su et al.

Summary: This study investigated the mechanisms underlying wheat resistance to F. graminearum infection through integrated metabolomics and transcriptomics analysis, identifying potential pathways for improving FHB resistance in wheat. Experiments showed that exogenous application of certain compounds increased wheat resistance to FHB, while knockdown of the auxin receptor gene TaTIR1 also enhanced FHB resistance, indicating the potential use of this gene in crop improvement programs.

The p53/RMRP/miR122 signaling loop promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition during the development of silica-induced lung fibrosis by activating the notch pathway

Ruixue Huang et al.

Summary: This study identified a feedback loop involving p53, RMRP, miR122, and the Notch pathway that promotes EMT progression in silica-induced lung fibrosis. The upregulation of p53 upon silica exposure activates RMRP, which in turn decreases miR122 levels and activates the Notch signaling pathway. These findings provide new insights into the complex network regulating lung fibrosis.

Efficacy and effectiveness studies of depression are not well-differentiated in the literature: a systematic review

Karen Schmaling et al.

Summary: The characteristics of depression treatment studies identified using efficacy or effectiveness search terms differ in some aspects, but are comparable for most coded characteristics. This lack of distinguishable features may impede efforts to bridge the gap between research and practice.
