An exploration into the criteria used in assessing design activities with adaptive comparative judgment in technology education

Jeffrey Buckley et al.

Summary: The assessment of design assignments is important in technology education, but there are difficulties in evaluating the quality features. An exploratory study using adaptive comparative judgement method was conducted to assess technology teacher education students, and the results indicate that quantitative variables can predict performance, while qualitative findings suggest that quantity may align with quality. This study suggests the need to use multiple criteria in evaluating design outputs.
