Chemistry and Specialty Industrial Applications of Lignocellulosic Biomass

Summary: Lignocellulosic feedstocks are becoming increasingly popular for industrial applications due to their availability and renewable nature. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the chemistry of different components of lignocellulosic biomass and explores various novel industrial applications, such as biofuel production, biomedical materials, and environmentally friendly products. Additionally, the potential industrial utility of lignocellulose-derived carbon materials and specialty materials like cellulose fiber and bioplastics is discussed.
