Optimal design of inerter-based isolators minimizing the compliance and mobility transfer function versus harmonic and random ground acceleration excitation

Summary: This study investigates the analysis and optimization of inerter-based systems, focusing on the H(infinity) optimum parameters of inerter-based isolators to minimize compliance and mobility transfer functions under harmonic ground acceleration excitation. The results show significant improvements in compliance and mobility transfer functions compared to traditional dynamic vibration absorbers, especially in series-parallel inerter systems. This study provides a theoretical basis for designing optimal inerter-based isolators in engineering applications.
