Summary: Fibrotic scarring in the CNS is identified to arise from proliferative CNS fibroblasts in the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mouse model, with involvement of interferon-gamma pathway genes. Reduction of scarring can lead to decreased severity of motor symptoms.
