Mass production of two-dimensional materials beyond graphene and their applications

Liusi Yang et al.

Summary: 2D materials have wide applications in various fields, but large-scale, high-quality production is required for commercialization. While the production technology for graphene and its derivatives is relatively mature, other 2D materials are still in the early stages of mass production. This review summarizes the current high-yield preparation methods and application areas for 2D materials beyond graphene.

Oxygen-assisted direct growth of large-domain and high-quality graphene on glass targeting advanced optical filter applications

Summary: The study introduces an oxygen-assisted CVD strategy to directly synthesize large-scale graphene on glass, significantly increasing graphene domain size. The resulting graphene glass demonstrates record high electrical conductivity and can be used as transparent electrodes for high-performance optical filter devices. This work opens up a new pathway for scalable production and application of high-quality and cost-effective graphene glass materials.
