Summary: The study showed that higher absorbed perfused liver doses using Y90 radioembolization were associated with a higher rate of complete pathologic necrosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. Lower doses, on the other hand, were more likely to result in partial or extensive necrosis.

Summary: This study analyzed the signal intensity differences in hepatobiliary specific contrast agent MRI between treated and untreated liver parenchyma in hepatocellular carcinoma patients after transarterial radioembolization. Significant differences were found on the hepatobiliary phase, suggesting the ablative potential of TARE and the importance of considering liver function loss within targeted liver volumes.
