Do directional deep brain stimulation leads rotate after implantation?

Marie T. Krueger et al.

Summary: The rotation of d-leads after implantation varies depending on the accuracy of intraoperative orientation, and stable lead orientation can be maintained for several weeks postoperatively. Determining lead orientation solely based on marker-based X-ray may be imprecise, and employing the iron sight method can enhance intraoperative orientation determination.
