Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy (BDS) technique was applied to investigate two ionic liquids, MC1 and MC2, analyzing the variations of complex permittivity and complex conductivity with temperature. The results provide insights into the electrical properties of ionic liquids at different temperatures.
In this work, Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy (BDS) techniqueis applied to investigate ((2-(3-methylimidazolyl-1-yl)-ethoxy)-carboyl)-benzoic-phthalic acid bromide (MC1) and 2-(3-methylimidazolyl-1-yl)-ethoxy-4-oxobutanoic acid bromide (MC2) ionic liquids. An impedance analyzer is used with frequencies ranging from 100mHz to 10MHz. The real and imaginary parts of the complexpermittivity, epsilon*(omega), and of the complex conductivity, sigma*(omega), of pure ionic liquids MC1 and MC2 and also aqueous solutions at 10% v/v, 50% v/v and 70% v/v as a function of temperature are discussed.
