Application of Catalytic Ozonation Process Using a Novel Fe3O4/Mg(OH)2/4A-Zeolite Catalyst for Swift Treatment of Dairy Effluent

Effect of Doping Al Cations into MgFe2O4 Magnetic Structure for Efficient Removals of Methyl Orange Dye from Water

Summary: The synthesis of MgAlxFe2-xO4 by the gel-combustion method resulted in improved adsorption performance for dye removal, especially with Al doping. Optimal conditions for adsorption included a contact time of 10 min, adsorbent dosage of 1 g/L, temperature of 25°C, agitation speed of 200 rpm, and pH of 5. Adsorption followed the Freundlich model with a maximum adsorption capacity of 274.6 mg/g, and kinetic studies supported the pseudo-second-order model for the process, which was thermodynamically spontaneous and exothermic.
