Summary: Cu@MOF core-shell nanowires are synthesized by using oxidizable and CTAB-modified metal nanowires as templates and supporting MOFs, forming one-dimensional nanostructures. Summary: Hierarchical Co3O4@NiCoLDH nanosheets were prepared on carbon cloth through a multistep method, with a core-shell structure formed by electrodeposition of ultrathin NiCoLDH on Co3O4 nanosheets. The unique hierarchical structure and high conductivity of Co3O4 core, along with the large surface area of NiCoLDH shell, contribute to the excellent electrochemical properties exhibited by the supercapacitor electrode.

Hierarchical, seamless, edge-rich nanocarbon hybrid foams for highly efficient electromagnetic-interference shielding

Summary: In this study, a lightweight, flexible CNT-ERG-CNF hybrid foam with ultrahigh electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness was fabricated using carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibers, and edge-rich graphene. The foam demonstrated EMI shielding effectiveness exceeding 55.4 dB in the X-band and specific SE reaching 9200 dB cm(3) g(-1), surpassing other carbon-based composite materials. Additionally, the structural stability and durability of the foam was examined after 10000 times cyclic bending, showing promising results for practical applications.

Effects of PyC shell thickness on the microstructure, ablation resistance of SiCnws/PyC-C/C-ZrC-SiC composites

Summary: By increasing the PyC shell thickness in SiC nanowires/pyrocarbon core-shell structured composites, the density and thermal conductivity of the composites can be improved while reducing the coefficient of thermal expansion, ultimately enhancing the anti-ablation properties. However, there is an optimal PyC thickness where further increases can lead to an increase in ablation rates.
