Summary: Converting greenhouse gases into valuable syngas through catalytic dry reforming of methane (DRM) is a viable solution, with Ni-based catalysts being extensively used and tested. The main limitation lies in catalyst deactivation due to carbon formation and sintering. Current research focus is on composite catalysts and density functional theory modeling for designing an ideal catalyst.
