Association between consumption frequency of honey and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: results from a cross-sectional analysis based on the Tianjin Chronic Low-grade Systemic Inflammation and Health (TCLSIH) Cohort Study

Shunming Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the association between honey consumption frequency and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in a large population. The results showed that consuming honey 2-6 times per week was inversely associated with NAFLD, while consuming honey more than once a day had no association with NAFLD. Further studies are needed to confirm these findings in other large-scale prospective studies.
