A new stable line of human keratinocytes with altered morphology, abnormal chromosomal composition, and expression of keratinocyte markers was obtained. The cells do not exhibit contact inhibition, can be cultured in various media, and have limited stratification ability in vitro. Upon transplantation into nude mice, these cells exhibit tumorigenic properties.
