Iodometric spectrophotometric determination of peroxydisulfate in hydroxylamine-involved AOPs: 15 min or 15 s for oxidative coloration?

Summary: In this study, iodometric spectrophotometry was modified by increasing potassium iodide (KI) concentration for immediate peroxydisulfate (PDS) determination and to avoid hydroxylamine interference. The modified method showed high sensitivity and successfully monitored the degradation of diclofenac with different PDS-based AOPs.
